It was 23rd June 2013 when I was in pieces. All my hard work of 3 years was to give me an answer in yes or no!
I still remember I could not eat, I could not sleep, I could not wait!
All I was feeling was restlessness.
I was hovering around just waiting for the result of the toughest exams in India (JEE ADVANCED)
As the name suggests, believe me, it was more than just being tough to prepare for it for about 3 years.
Suddenly a phone call rang, I had my father on it telling me to check the results online as they were now declared.
I was shivering due to nervousness.
I checked the examination portal.
It was written
CONGRATULATIONS!!
You have secured a rank in JEE-ADVANCED!
I was amongst the Top -100 in India.
I felt like dancing and weeping all at the same time.
I went in front of God thanked him for the grace that he showered upon me.
Suddenly, calls from our family and friends started to come up.
The next morning, I was in the newspaper.
I went to the terrace and danced feeling that I was on cloud nine.
I felt that I had conquered the world.
The thing that I wanted every day and night, I have achieved it.
Even though everyone doubted me, I sailed through it.
I dared to dream and I finally made it!
We partied with our family and friends.
Soon I realized that I need to leave my house for the first time.
And, I now would be separated from my sister who was 12 years younger than me.
That generated a mixture of feelings inside me.
But I thought that I wanted it so badly then why am I feeling insecure at this point?
I shed those thoughts and started packing my clothes and stuff.
An finally I flew to this amazing new world of mine, IIT Mumbai!
How beautiful isn't it? This picture is still saved in my phone and whenever I see it I feel blessed. It revives a lot of memories.
